When I was very anxious, your comfort made me happy.

Listen

The Verse:

"When I was very anxious, your comfort made me happy." — Psalm 94:19

Thoughts:

I like how honest this Psalm is. It says that anxiety can be "great," which means it can feel loud, heavy, and overwhelming. It doesn't say that the anxiety went away right away, but that God's comfort came to the writer in the middle of it. God is not far away waiting for you to calm down when your heart is racing. He is right there with you in the noise, giving you a quiet comfort that can make you smile again.

My prayer:

God, please whisper Your truth to me when the noise in my head gets too loud. I need your comfort to help me get through my fears. Thank You that I can always reach You, even when I feel like I'm losing it. Today, please give me a little bit of happiness, even if it's just a small spark to keep me going. Amen.
