Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God

Listen

The Verse:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." — Philippians 4:6

Thoughts:

This isn't about shaming ourselves for feeling anxious; it’s about what we do with that feeling. Think of it like an exchange. You hand God your messy, tangled thoughts, and in return, He gives you a peace that doesn't even make sense given the circumstances. The "thanksgiving" part is the secret sauce it reminds our brains of all the times God has already come through for us, which makes the current mountain look a lot smaller.

My Prayer:

Father, I’m handing You this heavy knot of anxiety in my chest. I don’t want to carry it anymore. Thank You for the ways You’ve looked after me in the past I know You won’t stop now. I’m trading my "what-ifs" for Your "I am." Let Your peace guard my heart today like a shield. Amen.
